Oshrat and her six orphan children
can still not sleep quietly

Letter received from Anita of Gush Katif describing
the Arama family's continuing struggle with terror after
the murder of the husband and father of the family

Dear friends, I hope you don't mind that I share my feelings with you . Your listening enables us to carry on.

Last night at about 8:40 we heard a huge explosion, the same type that we've been hearing so often since the words "peace -talks with the Palistinians " has been heard on the news every hour. Shortly after, we received an automatic phone call that a mortar bomb had exploded here in Netzer Hazani near the Arama family's home ,and we were requested to enter a "safe area " in the event that more would be shot at us.

The radio news reported that a mortar fell in Gush Katif and caused very slight damage.

The Arama car, parked right near their house, had all the windows broken ,the cars metal was full of holes from the shrapnel. This is the very same car that was just repaired only five months ago ,when it was totally filled with bullet holes from the automatic weapeons that the Palistinian Fatah terrorists shot while trying to murder the entire Arama family . The Palistinians succeeded then in murdering Rabbi Yitchak Arama , 42,husband of Oshrat ,father of 6 children and Rabbi of our community.

Last night Oshrat and the 6 orphans were in their home . The very youngest children were sleeping and the older children were helping the younger ones get ready for bed. The schrapnel from the mortar explosion in their back yard caused the window in that very bedroom to shatter all over , covered the shutter with holes and dug holes in all the walls of the room.

Thank God no one was physically hurt, and as in the radio report there was only "slight damage to property". However I have no doubt that in their hearts and minds the Oshrat and the six children relived the moment in their car when they witnessed their wonderful father murdered by these same cruel Islamic terrorists . How do we measure this damage?

We pray for the day when the world will be in a real peace that will enable us to live without these special ,miracles.

We Thank God for the miracle we privaliged to experience last night.

Thanks for listening, Anita
