PA Uses Twin Tower Image to Mock USA (16.9.03)

Introduction:
The September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers caused unspeakable pain to the people of the United States. It is significant that the Palestinian Authority [PA] through its controlled media, has repeatedly used the visual image of the smoldering towers, to ridicule the American pain, indicating that it is the Arabs, Muslims, Iraqis, and Palestinians who are the true towers that have been attacked.
Seven examples of cartoons that have appeared in the PA dailies using the image of the Twin Towers, follow. One appeared just months after the attacks while the most recent appeared this week. The cartoon of two smoldering towers of Iraq and "Palestine" for example, appearing last week, was so well received after it was printed in Al Quds, that it was reprinted two days later in Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, the official daily. Other cartoons were copied from other Arab dailies.
The following are the cartoons and their translations:
1. The true Twin Tower victims are Iraq and the Palestinians.

The Palestinian Celebrations of the Terror Attacks
Palestinian Kids. Before the new orders of the PA to stop those celebrations, and after. It would be important to remind that Kids on the PA school stand a minute every morning for kids died on the fight, and this picture which published is not "palestinian kids mourning about the Terror attack on the US..."
Thousands of Palestinians are celebrating the terror attacks on the US.
The have been chanting Alla is Great and distributing sweets to passers
-by, even as their leader, Yasser Arafat, said he was horrified.
In the West-Bank town of Nabls alone, about 3,000 people, poured into the
streets shortly after the attacks.

The Palestinian Authority soon realized the damage to their "good name" that pictures of dancing Palestinians on the streets while US even didn't started mourning are being published worldwide, and did EVERYTHING, including threating the lives of foreign reporters in Juda & Samaria, demanding not to publish more videos and pictures. Though, the damage is done.

Yasser Arafat himself brought many TV Broadcast teams to show the world how
with his great kindness he gives blood for the wounded people from the attacks
on the NY World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The thing that everyone seems to forgot now, that the man is ill, and his blood is full of medicines & drugs, and cannot be used in no way! too bad... He is 73, and donates are taken from 18-65 years old people. |
Palestinian Authority Newspapers' Caricatures
The Palestinians persist in their accusations that the United States is indiscriminate in its enmity toward the Arab world. The following cartoon appears today in a the official Palestinian Authority daily:
Caption: "Bush: The war in Afghanistan is only the beginning".
In the bull's-eye: "Afghanistan".
Dart board, counterclockwise from 1:00 - "Iraq", "Syria", "Lebanon" "Somalia", "Libya", "Sudan".
Arab Man: "The Other Arabs".
The missile-dart in his back: "by accident".
The Palestinians continually accuse the United States of harboring indiscriminate enmity toward the Arab world. The following cartoon appeared yesterday in a Palestinian Authority daily:
The slaughtered sheep are labeled Iraq and Afghanistan. Yellow sign is "Arab and Muslim states". Uncle Sam is debating which state is next in line.
How does the PA & Arabs explain these celebrations?
The editor of the Palestinian Authority mouthpiece Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Hafez Al-Barghouthi, claimed that the film crew enticed the Palestinians to rejoice: "The crew of one of the satellite channels artificially created feelings of joy among the children in occupied Jerusalem. Crew members asked the children to dance for them and [the children], enraptured by the camera, did so? The occupier dreams of shifting the cameras from our dismembered body parts to the [dismembered] body parts of others in the world? The Palestinians have no interest to gloat. [Those few who gloated] do not represent our public opinion. It is a whim that might also have [been expressed] in other parts of the world, even in the Western world. But in these instances [in the Western world], the cameras did not reach those places?" (1)
However, University of Lebanon lecturer Mustafa Juzo published an article in which he stated that the displays of joy are understandable, and called those criticizing them "hypocrites"(2):
"History will testify that the Arabs have never carried out barbaric wars. It is known that the rules of war customary in the Islamic conquest were far superior to those implemented by the United Nations today. The humane approach ? even relatively in past centuries ? is what characterized the behavior of the Arab and Muslim conquerors."
"In contrast, terror as we know it today was introduced in the region only at the beginning of the 19th century, by Western colonialism and the Zionist gangs. Therefore, the killing of innocents distresses every Arab, even if the slain are his enemies. Hence, many Arabs expressed identification with America's tragedy. This is the truth."
"However, another truth is that most Arabs, and perhaps also most of the Third World, did rejoice, not because of the killing of thousands of innocent Americans, but because of the penetration of the bastion of American colonialism and the offensive within its home turf. No one thought for a moment about the people who were inside the tallest of the world's towers as they burned; everyone thought of the American administration and rejoiced at its misfortune, while its leaders scrambled to find a place to hide."
"There is a large degree of hypocrisy and idiocy. Does anyone think that the CIA does not know how much it is hated by the Arab people, and how happy the oppressed people in the Third World are at the tragedy that has struck it? [Therefore, there is no point] in our trying to prove to them that the Arab people are not gloating over the American misfortune. Can anyone really believe that a people of whom the US has killed hundreds and thousands times the number of people killed in New York and in Boston [sic], is sorry, and is not happy, when he witnesses this smack to the face of its most bitter enemy?" "The meaning of terror according to the American [dictionary] is known. [The term] refers to any resistance to the new colonialism. In contrast, the collective and racist annihilation of peoples constitutes (according to the American dictionary) a civilized action that should not be resisted."
"The Arab wise-guys (referring to those who condemned the attacks) are granting the US ? who has opposed them in all international forums and in all arenas of the war ? permission to attack their peoples and their friends, especially in light of the fact that the American investigators are restricting their investigation to [suspects with] Arab names, as if the Arabs are entirely to blame? It never occurs to the US that there are others who benefit more from the attacks on the US cities than the Arabs and the Muslims. I refer mainly to Israel, especially since one of the suspects mentioned by the media lived in occupied Palestine and could very possibly have been used by Israel?"
"There is no doubt that several Arab intellectuals have put their fingers on a painful truth, saying that terror can be eliminated only by removing the reasons for it, and that the strike on the US is the result of the oppression it inflicted on nations. Some Arab states demanded to distinguish between terror and resistance. There must also be a scientific and correct definition of terror. Terror is the use of violence against innocent civilians with the aim of achieving political, religious, or racist goals ? provided that the civilians subjected to that violence are not partners of the military, do not constitute a militia, and are not benefiting from the military aggression in ways such as living on occupied land, or profiting from the property of the people whose land is occupied?"
"The funniest thing is that the Arab media and intellectuals encouraged the Arab rulers and people to please America; they chastised anyone expressing joy, as if the Arabs should be seeking forgiveness for every crime carried out in the US out of fear that the enemy, whether the one close by [Israel] or the one far away [the US], will take revenge?"
"Arabs must make the American leaders understand that the occupation cannot be rewarded by love, and that American interests are not more important than the rights of human beings? [America] must understand that someone who successfully infiltrates its home turf and attacks its Department of Defense can strike painfully at its interests outside the US with greater ease."
"May Allah have mercy on the innocents that the American administration murdered by means of the hijackers; among them are several of our countrymen. True, that administration did not carry out the crime itself ? but it caused it, and whoever causes a crime bears a large part of the responsibility for it."

EP news agency destroyed pictures of Palestinian celebrations
Reporters & photographers of the EP news agency released some of the photos to various TV networks. Though, within a short time EP managers got threatens from PA men, not to continue releasing the pictures.
Israeli sources say that on the stuff which not released there were videos of Palestinian policemen celebrating and fire their weapon to the air, and dancing with civilians.
EP management refused to respond to the claims. Palestinian sources told the Israeli News Agency, that the Palestinian Authority ordered the Media & Information Ministry to do everything to prevent those photos from being published.

Intifada Leadership Call for "Confrontation with U.S. Interests Using all Possible Means" Aired on Official PA TV in a Special Announcement (20.11.2000)
The umbrella organization of the intifada, "The National and The Islamic Forces" issued an announcement of planned activities for the coming week. The agenda includes a call for confrontation with US interests. It was read as a special announcement on Palestinian Authority TV (Ramallah), today Nov. 20, 2000 at 12:20. The following is from the text:

A Palestinian Weekly Raises Threats to Target American Embassies and Military Vessels The Palestinian weekly, Al-Manar (on 27.8.2001), in its issue preceding the assassination of PFLP leader Abu Ali Mustafa, published two articles that included threats against American embassies and military vessels in the Middle East.
Al Manar's editorial, titled "Bush and His Stupid Dreams," read: "In his hostility towards our Palestinian people and its leadership, George Bush has gone further than any other leader of the country which claims to be neutral or host to the peace process..."
"This is, by no means, a praise to the American presidents who preceded him. Each and every one of them had his role in serving the Zionist goals in the region and in the world in its entirety. However, some of them... kept in mind that the huge number of Arabs and Muslims may lose control, and the [Arab] rage may cross the red lines - leading to the flattening out of some of Washington's embassies to ground level, or to the shelling and burning of some of its military vessels in the ocean, along the Arab shores."
"However, George Bush does not only avoid looking like his father, he also wants to beat him in the race of hostility towards the [Arab] nation and its primary cause... his political and mental blindness reaches a level where he confuses the henchmen with their victims and demands that [the victims] keep their heads still beneath the criminal's knife so the [knife] would remain intact and the fingers on its handle would not get weary."
"The leader of the greatest terrorist state is not satisfied with the bridge he [put] up with the occupation, through which he supplies it with his shells, missiles, and most developed and lethal weapons, in order to rip the bodies of these people and the livers of their children to pieces, in order to demolish their houses and trees. He also demands that the leadership of this people serve as the guard of the criminal murderer's knife; to defend it from the wrath and avenge of the masses; to give up the leadership's role in regaining the rights of this people, in the fulfillment of its goals and in bringing it to safe heaven; [he demands that the Palestinian leadership becomes] a faithful guard in the service of Zionism and the occupying settlers. Furthermore, Bush exaggerates in his impossible dream and demands that the leadership of the [Palestinian] people would siege its warriors, stop them, and even kill them so that the Zionists could fulfill their dream and take over a land without a people, which did not happen so far... and will not happen tomorrow either..."
"The stupidity of [the Palestinian] people's enemies, the likes of Bush and Sharon, who cruelly attack headquarters, commanders, and members of the Palestinian security apparatuses, double the momentum of the linkage between all the parts of the united body which forms the Palestinian people, and first and foremost, the symbol and leader of its struggle, President Yasser Arafat."
Another article, signed by "Karim," read: "...Bush would have stopped his hostile position towards our people and its leadership, had only his interests in the region been threatened. He would not have supported Sharon and his aggression, had the American interest confronted a serious danger."
"We do not blame the [Arab] regimes, for these have already become White House doormats; but we do have complaints to the Arab masses who remain silent. Why don't these masses shake the dust of inaction off their shoulders? Do the nations' masses await a decision by the regimes in order to go to the streets and destroy the interests of the American tyranny?"
"We await the roar of the Arab public that will break the absolute silence that is being used by Bush and Sharon to continue their aggression. The borders and the fronts are not open due to an [official] decision by the rulers; they are open with a popular awakening for which we have long been waiting [for]. Bush is an accomplice to the aggression and he supports it. So what is the nation waiting for?"[Al-Manar (PA), August 27, 2001]

Hamas weekly: "Allah has answered our prayers; the sword of vengeance has reached America and will strike again and again!"
Following the terror attacks on New York and Washington, the Hamas Movement mouthpiece Al-Risala, published in Gaza, printed an open letter, "To America," by Dr. 'Atallah Abu Al-Subh:
"I am certain that you [America] will face the mirror of your history for a long time to come! Thus you will be able to see exactly how much you have oppressed, how corrupt you are, how you have sinned ? how many entities you have destroyed; how many kingdoms you have demolished! Do you remember what you did in Vietnam and Korea? Do you remember how you turned Hiroshima and Nagasaki into piles of radioactive coals that hold death, present and future, for the two destroyed cities? Not a person in these cities remains who was not distorted by your fire; not an infant or youth remains who was not torn to shreds; not a bird remains who was not drowned in a sea of flame!!"
"America, Oh sword of oppression, arrogance and sin; do you remember how you crushed the humanity of man? Do you remember how the blacks lived under your wing? Can you describe to us how much humiliation, loathing, and contempt you caused those poor creatures? Their only sin was to be born to two black parents. Your 'white? son bound their necks with the fetters of slavery, after hunting them in the jungles and on the coasts of Africa. They were born free, but were transported to the slave markets that inundated your virgin soil. And later, how terrible were the deeds you did to them?"
"Have you asked yourself about your actions against your 'original? inhabitants, the Indians, the Apaches? Your white feet crushed them, and then used their name, Apache, for a helicopter bearing death, demolition, and destruction for anyone with rights, who dared to whisper in his own ear that he has those rights? This is loathsome and malignant behavior, because it made us hate the Apache Indians, without realizing that they actually were victims like us."
"America, have you ever asked yourself why you killed Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Malcolm X? What crime could possibly be worse than these crimes, and why?"
"America, have you ever asked yourself how the children in the Al-'Amariya [shelter in Iraq], or at Kana [in Lebanon], sinned? Why do you pour this continuing oppression on the head of Baghdad, as you do on the head of Jerusalem, on the head of Jenin, and on every head with two eyes that do not see what you see and do not walk the path of justice that your sinning hands paved for every idiotic eunuch [a reference to the rulers of Arab states] that you crown His Eminence or His Royal Highness? America, have you ever asked yourself why you manufacture cluster bombs, atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, biological weapons of mass destruction, and the F-16? Even if we accept the claim of 'be prepared,? why do you give these weapons to any murderer, war criminal, and enemy of humanity, like Karadzic, Shamir, and Sharon? Why?"
"America, have you ever tasted the taste of horror, sorrow, and pain? This is the taste that has been our lot for so long. This is the taste that has filled our stomachs, torn our guts, and burned our skin. This is routine for us, and is carried out by those you love, with a high degree of 'professionalism.? They destroy our shacks. What happened tonight in Jenin is not very different than what happened to you."
"Every time Dick Cheney and his girlfriend Condoleezza Rice? admonish us, [and] gloat at our misfortune, they incite to more [violence against us]!! We stand in line and beg Allah to give you to drink from the cup of humiliation ? and behold, heaven has answered. You must think, America, whether you are capable of silencing your extremism, your impudence, and your arrogance!"
"America, what have we sinned? What have we done to you?"
"Do you remember that we made it possible for you to lead us in the ways of peace!! We agreed that you would host this peace! You wasted time, and neglected the matter ? which seems to us an absolute bias in favor of the Jews, when our only crime was to agree to accept you as judge and as host! Hosts do not behave this way, Oh America, unless they are cowboys [a pun in Arabic]! If only it stopped at this bias; but it has reached the point where you tightened the rope around our entity and opened the gates of the Pentagon so that every Jew could equip himself with a knife in order to slaughter us! Why?"
"America, you planted in the hearts of all men and animals the seedling of hatred of you! You never considered that the day would come when the saplings would grow and put out your eyes, even if those eyes were placed at the top of the World Trade Center, among the clouds. Those saplings grew and spread and struck at the liver of the Pentagon, the biggest and most secure site on the planet. Don?t you see that the thorns have reached the eyes of your strong Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, who thought that he was too strong to be hurt by the thorns of vengeance for what he did with his own hands? Perhaps you realize, after Rumsfeld fled, that he is only an ordinary man, who cannot seize the land and is not as tall as the mountains!!"
"America, why did you evacuate the biggest building in the world, and I refer to the Sears Tower, as we, the weak, do every night in order to protect ourselves from your laser-eyed missiles? Are you as frightened as we are, Oh America? Do the giants fear and flee, as the oppressed do, Oh America?"
"America, it transpires that that you are weaker than the weak, and that you are as wretched as any refugee that you forced to flee with his children, his wife, and the clothes on his back from a village that was once on the coast of Palestine. America, where are your eyes that see ants on rocks ? I refer to the CIA? Did you not see what the soul of the one who struck at you whispered ? although you always claimed to be able to see what others could not? It becomes apparent that a blind eye sees only through the eyes of traitors and spies; yet men of honor have caps of invisibility and when they don them, they dress you in garments of horror and humiliation."
"America, where is your second eye, the Mossad? You always gave us the illusion that it was alert enough to see what a man sees before he falls asleep. How did the 'perpetrator? take this eye?"
"Have you asked yourself who the real perpetrator is? Allow me to answer you: Yes, it is you, America!? You closed on yourself the door of injustice, so that none could pass through it but your destroyers. Afterwards, you decided to light the fire of destiny behind the door, until the fire consumed you, Oh America! I told you once that the mosquito sucks the blood of the lion. Have you realized that I was right? If not, look at your eye and see what happened to you in three spheres: the economic sphere (the World Trade Center building); the power sphere (the Pentagon); and the political sphere (the White House). Could you have imagined that what happened could have happened?"
"Is it conceivable that you would think twice and choose not to attack the pharmaceuticals plant in Khartoum again, or Libya? Or will the appetite for vengeance take you over and blind you to the truth, and will you pour out your wrath on the Al-'Amariya [shelter in Iraq] or on Beit Hanoun [in Gaza]? With what remains of your eyes, will you see the truth and retreat? I advise you, Oh America, to see the truth, and not to act thoughtlessly. You need to reexamine."
"What use was your navy to you? What use were your intercontinental missiles and your nuclear power plants? What use was the fact that you had almost completely conquered space with satellites and AWCS planes. What use was NATO, and the world leadership that you hold in your hands?"
"Or did all these become paralyzed when the sword of vengeance reached the neck of your honor and shamed you? There is no doubt that this is a deed unprecedented in ancient and modern history. You cannot but realize that the perpetrator will strike again and again if you continue with your corruption..."(1)
A similar approach was adopted by Al-Risala editor Dr.Ghazi Hamad?s weekly column, in which he wrote: "I will not discuss the issue from the emotional point of view, but on the basis of the rule that determines that "the punishment fits the crime."
"The United States, which, since the turn of the last century, has believed that it is the strongest, used that strength and power not to actualize justice and equality for the oppressed, but to besiege the[se] peoples, murder them, and spill their blood. It did not follow any law, unless the law was passed to strengthen its hegemony and its power. The US, which supports the Zionist entity, supplying it with all types of lethal weapons, such as the Apache, napalm bombs, and the F-16, that have taken the lives of thousands of Palestinians; the US, which encouraged the Iranian Shah to massacre his people; the US, which stood by the blood-letter Haile Sellassie, the despot Idi Amin, and dozens of dictators and tyrants in South America, in Africa, and in Southeast Asia; the US, which sowed death at Hiroshima, anguish in Vietnam, bitterness in Iraq, famine and siege in the Sudan and in Libya ? what did this US, with the ugly face, expect the repressed and the oppressed peoples to do?"
"How much hatred has it stockpiled, and how many enemies has it gained? How many tortured people have burned American flags at every opportunity to express their rage? The US, with its think tanks and mighty research institutes, should have been ashamed of its hostility towards the nations and the peoples. Were the eradication of its Marines in Lebanon, the destruction of its military headquarters at Khobar in Saudi Arabia, the destruction of the USS Cole in Yemen, the bombing of its embassies in Zambia [sic] and in Kenya, and the attacks on its soldiers in the Gulf and in Japan not sufficient? The US should have learned the lessons of history; but, unfortunately, the US listens only to itself ? and behold, today it hears itself all too well?"
"Today, the US has tasted the bitter harvest it sowed in the hearts of millions. Today, we ask: After this, will the US [continue to] think that it is above the law? Will it continue to act with repression and tyranny, or will it reexamine what it has done, and what it will do?"(2)

Hamas Weekly: Anthrax should be put into America's drinking water (7.11.2001)
In his weekly op-ed, Dr. 'Atallah Abu Al-Subh, a columnist for the Hamas(1) weekly Al-Risala (Gaza), writes open letters to prominent figures, ideologies, and events. His most recent letter, No. 163, was titled "To Anthrax":
"The truth is that I wondered how to begin! Should I greet you [i.e. anthrax], or should I curse you? Should I hold my tongue?... I will begin by saying: Oh Anthrax, despite your wretchedness, you have sown horror in the heart of the lady of arrogance, of tyranny, of boastfulness! Your gentle touch has made the U.S.'s life rough and pointless. You have filled the lady who horrifies and terrorizes the world with fear, and her feet almost fail to bear [her weight] in horror and fear of you. Because of you, she has lost confidence in the moment in which she lives, or in which she will live."
"You have entered the most fortified of places; [you have entered] the White House and they left it like horrified mice. Up until a short time ago, this place was the address of the power of brutality, or of the brutality of power! Verily, the owner of that house said, 'Woe to any who dare even to glance at it with a hint of rage - but you have turned all this into vanity, weakness, and wretchedness.'"
"By Allah, are you really so deadly?! Do you not fear America's intercontinental missiles? Do you not fear the torpedo missiles with nuclear warheads, and cluster bombs? Do you not fear the Swift Sword [Omani-British wargames] that Britain drew forth from its scabbard to stab into the heart of our honor in Muscat [Oman's capital], with the agreement of the great sultan, who had no shame in carrying out such a deed? Do you not fear the lady of terror's destroyers, that cross the Suez canal...?"
"The Pentagon was a monster before you entered its corridors... And behold, it now transpires that its men are of paper and its commanders are of cardboard, and they hasten to flee as soon as they see - only see - chalk dust! There are those who think that I exaggerate, but I do not think so. This horror that you have sown - you, the delicate, the uncomplicated, the miserable - in the heart of the bloodsucker [the U.S.]... makes me think as I do. You do not come like a storm, but they see you as one; a terrible storm that destroys everything. They run from you in all directions and their tongues mumble, 'My life, my life.' Our hearts, repressed, exiled, and oppressed, were filled with belief that Allah is capable of defeating America by means of the weakest of his earthly soldiers, after he used you to sow horror in their hearts..."
"I swear that your story is peculiar. The Americans see you as an imminent attack that is about to shake the lady with the proboscises that suck the blood of the peoples... All [the rulers of Arab and Islamic countries] tell [the U.S.] - every time she farts, - "Allah bless you" - Nevertheless, you have found your way to only eight American breasts so far..."
"You make the U.S. appease us, and hint to us at a rosy future and a life of ease... through a [new] Marshall Plan. Why? Because of our beautiful eyes? Or out of fear that we will turn into anthrax, and harm the apple of [the U.S.'s] eye and heart, Tel Aviv...? Palestinian Authority's Arabs trained in Afghanistan
Two sons of senior Palestinian Authority officers received military training several years ago at a Bin Laden training camp in Afghanistan. Arutz-7's Haggai Huberman reports that the two were arrested in Israel almost two years ago, and an IDF Military Court sentenced one of them to three years in prison.
The convicted terrorist, son of Muhammad Daka, commander of the PA police station in Ramallah, trained for three weeks in Afghanistan, where he learned to use various types of weapons as well as military theory, and then took a course in the manufacture and use of explosives.
The second Afghan-trained PA resident, son of a senior official in the PA's Hebron police station, took similar "courses."
PA's systematic incitement against the US
Introduction
Within hours after the horrific terrorist attacks in the United States, there were spontaneous outbreaks of rejoicing in the streets of the Palestinian Authority. According to Israel Radio, at least two news organizations decided not to broadcast footage of these celebrations after senior officials in the Palestinian Authority - including prominent PA ministers - threatened their lives. Arafat's denunciation of the attacks, which continues to be broadcast, is in direct contradiction to the atmosphere of hatred he has been promoting through his tightly controlled media. The following are but a few examples:
"The suicide bombers of today are the noble successors of their noble predecessors... the Lebanese suicide bombers, who taught the US Marines a tough lesson in [Lebanon]...and then, with no preconditions, they threw the last of the remaining enemy [Israeli] soldiers out of the [security] zone. These suicide bombers are the salt of the earth, the engines of history...They are the most honorable [people] among us..." [Al Hayat Al Jadida - Official Palestinian Authority daily, Sept. 11, 2001]
Hafez Barghoutti, Editor-in-Chief of the official PA daily:
"And the last to judge us in this area is the pathetic scoundrel Thomas Friedman who called upon NATO to conquer the [West] Bank and Gaza in order to protect his beloved Israel. "These examples of beastly writings which surpass Nazism, require that their authors be tried in an international court, for they are considered inciters who have committed crimes against humanity...."
Pan-Islamic Anti-Americanism in Palestinian ideology

Introduction
Though presenting themselves in the American media as supportive of the US war effort, the Palestinians continue to ridicule and condemn the United States - in their own Arabic-language publications and broadcasts. One of the themes regularly expressed in the Palestinian-Authority-controlled media is that the US-Taliban war is part of a global conflict in which the Judeo-Christian West is fighting against the entire Muslim nation. Another involves the ongoing hatred of the US as an integral part of Palestinian ideology.
These themes were prominent in a sermon delivered last Friday in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and broadcast on Palestinian Radio, in which America is referred to as "infidel","Crusaders", and "head of world terror". The deliverer of the sermon identifies ideologically with all the Muslim wars throughout history, while criticizing the limited national outlook of individual Muslim countries today. He portrays all of the current Muslim conflicts in Chechenya, Kashmir, the Philippines, Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan as part of a global conflict against Islam.
It is important to note that, while the US continues to stress that it is not at war with Islam, according to Palestinian ideology, Islam is in a worldwide conflict with the West.
The following excerpts from this important sermon shed light on the global Islamic worldview of the Palestinians and possibly of many other Muslim nations:
"O Muslims, he who says that the month of Ramadan is abundant with Muslim victories and greatness is right.
"How our [Islamic] nation is in need today [our nation who] became divided into schisms and factions and into small countries, whose concerns do not cross their own regional borders, and who have limited outlooks how [our Islamic nation] is in need of learning about Mohammed's life and of reaping benefit from its lessons.
"Have today's leaders been struck deaf and blind, such that they do not hear the cries for help of the bereaved women and widows, or the wails of the children and orphans, nor see the humiliation that has befallen the nations of Islam at the hands of the invaders and occupiers?.
"[It was] during blessed Ramadan that the Muslims were victorious over the Mongolians .The [battle] cry `To help Islam!' continues to echo in the Muslim world [today]. Is anyone responding? Here [today] the "Mongolians" and "Crusaders" are raising their heads and enlisting armies to fight the Islamic nations in an oppressive campaign, under the label of "terrorism" which the infidels are attaching to the Arabs and Muslims, for the purpose of realizing their imperialist interests, and to spread their control over the Muslim countries and their resources.
"If terrorism - as viewed by America, the leader of world terror - is the killing of innocent civilians, we have to ask: Does the killing of innocent children, the elderly and women, and the death as martyrs of the sick [denied passage to hospitals] at military check points in Palestine constitute terrorism? . Is the killing of Afghani civilians and their expulsion as refugees in their country and in neighboring countries considered terrorism? Does the continued siege on Iraq, continued aggression against it in the North and South, and the death of children due to the shortage of food and medicine enter the category of terrorism?
"Cannot these war crimes, and the rest of the conditions to which Muslims are subjected in Chechenya, Kashmir and the Philippines, be categorized as terrorism, according to the American perception of terrorism?
".There is no place for a weak nation [America] among the nations of this world, one which was blinded by the intoxication of power and understands nothing but the language of interests and hegemony. You, Muslims, have interests in the world and power within you, which will seat you in the place you deserve among nations, which will restore your role as the pioneers of good peace in this destroyed world, if you follow the path of the Koran.and the path of the prophet [Mohammed] ."

Palestinian Arab Support for Osama Bin Laden
On Oct. 26, 2001, Yasir Arafat's official radio station broadcast a sermon denouncing the United States as 'heretics,' 'dogs,' 'imperialists,' and killers.' The sermon was delivered by Yusuf Abu Snena, an Islamic preacher and official of the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Religious Affairs, at the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and broadcast on Arafat's official 'Voice of Palestine' radio station.
Snena said: 'The attack on our Islamic allies [Afghanistan] seems to be a repetition of the First World War, reminding
us of the cooperation between the heretics to bring down the German nation, which was destroyed by the heretic
nations, thus giving those heretic and imperialist nations the freedom to invade our Arab Muslim homelands. These
heretic nations are once again attacking, like dogs, Muslim Afghanistan, and are fighting Islam everywhere...Hostile
American planes are killing innocent people...These are heretic nations seeking to destroy Islam...Imperialism is
returning to the Arab regions, through the guise of a 'war on terror'...We urge all Muslims to unite in a war against the
Crusaders, and that Allah will bring vengeance upon them.

Arafat's Fatah denounces 'American oppression' An official editorial on the web site of Arafat's Fatah movement (http://www.fateh.net/e_editor/01/300901.htm) on October 15, 2001, declared that 'the U.S. administration is planning to impose its hegemony on the world as a limitless tyranny ... The U.S. is a country that does not respect human rights or international legality.'
Arafat's Fatah denounces 'American oppression' A statement by Arafat's Fatah movement on Oct. 1, 2001 asserted that 'The massive operation [attacking the World Trade Center] showed the failure of the U.S. to protect itself when those it oppressed reacted to the policies of hegemony and discrimination it has been practicing throughout the world ... Arafat's News Agency: 'America Should Stop Fighting the World' Arafat's official news agency, WAFA, stated on October 11, 2001 (http://www.wafa.pna.net/EngText/10-10-2001/page012.htm) that as a result of the attacks 'we can estimate the USA has realized that it should reconcile with the world rather than fight it.' Also as a result, 'Israel was excluded from the international coalition...the world before the 11th of September is not the same like after that date...Maybe from that date on, AIPAC won't be able to rule the USA, or will not attempt to, they certainly will not dare to expose the USA to any further sabotage action.'
The WAFA statement also said that if Israel were included in the coalition, 'it will sabotage and destroy this coalition, because of its ideology of 'God's chosen people', and its social and educational structure will destroy the coalition.'
PA Official Urges Arabs: 'Don't Join U.S. Coalition' The PA-appointed chief Muslim religious official in Jerusalem,
Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, declared in his September 28, 2001 sermon (which was broadcast on official PA radio): 'It is
forbidden for a Muslim to go against another Muslim...This killing is regarded as a severe sin...We call upon America:
No to war, no to the killing of innocents, no to the killing of elderly women and children, no to [being under your]
guardianship, no to [your] intervention in other peoples' issues, no to imperialism, no to occupation.'

Arafat's Radio Station Claims 'Israel Carried Out the Attacks' The PA's official radio station, Voice of Palestine,
reported on October 7, 2001, that 'the FBI has handed a report to the Palestine National Authority which states that the
Israeli Mossad is responsible for the September 11 terror attacks in the U.S. The FBI report states that U.S. law
enforcement officials have nabbed three cadres of Mossad operatives in New York in connection with the September 11 attacks.'

by the newspaper's editor, Hafez Barghouti, asserted: 'Three weeks after the 'earthquake', the Americans had to revise
their thinking on many issues, perhaps the most important of which is its foreign policy that regarded others from an
exaggerated sense of superiority, which caused it not to see things clearly. The earthquake forced the Americans to get
down out of their ivory tower and take a realistic look at what is happening on the planet. They view themselves as its
master, but actually they have discovered that there has been a huge build-up of hatred against them.'

Arafat Aide Says America is 'Worse Than Bin Laden' In a statement published in the PA newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadidah
on Sept. 14, 2001, the Director-General of the PA Ministry of Information, Hassan Al-Kashef, equated the
attacks in New York and Washington with what he called 'the American killing of Arabs in Iraq and elsewhere: 'If the
airplanes' blasting into the World Trade Center towers in New York is considered terror carried out by a few
individuals, the murder of Arabs by Israel and by American weapons and all the American killings of Arabs in Iraq, in
the Sudan, and in Libya is official terror, and those responsible are the U.S. and Israel. These are war crimes; these are
crimes of mass destruction.'

The Associated Press reported (Sept. 11, 2001) that 'thousands of Palestinians celebrated Tuesday's terror attacks' by singing and dancing in the streets, honking horns, distributing candy to passersby, and firing their guns in the air in Nablus (Shechem), Arab sections of Jerusalem, and Palestinian Arab refugee camps in Lebanon. PA police officers joined in the celebrations in Nablus and Ramallah, Israel Radio reported.
Palestinian Arabs Hold Pro-Bin Laden Rallies The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported on September 17, 2001 that 'about 15,000 Palestinians marched last Friday at a rally in the Gaza Strip in which demonstrators carried posters of Saudi terror mastermind Osama Bin Laden.' On October 8-9, 2001, thousands of Palestinian Arabs held rallies in Gaza to praise Bin Laden and denounce America's anti-terror actions in Afghanistan. On October 12, 2001, thousands of Palestinian Arabs held rallies in Ramallah and Nabalus to protest America's actions against Bin Laden. The rally in Ramallah was led by Marwan Barghouti, secretary-general of Arafat's Fatah movement.
Only 7% of Palestinian Arabs Support America's Action; An October 2001 poll found 76% of Palestinian Arabs oppose
any involvement by Arab regimes or the Palestinian Authority in America's anti-terrorism coalition, and only 7%
believe America's anti-terror actions in Afghanistan are justified.

Introduction:
The Palestinian Authority hatred of the US, which is expressed at many levels of Palestinian leadership and media often has a common repeating theme: the US wants to dominate and exploit the world. This is particularity noteworthy when understanding that a central theme of PA ideology, having appeared in school books, sermons and TV lectures, is that Islam is destined to ultimately defeat, dominate, and rule over the world.
PMW has seen repeatedly, that many of the lies and libels that the PA directs at both Israel and the US are actually various odious aspects of their own ideology that they attempt to brand on others. This accusation of world domination, is taken straight from their own ideology, but "Islam" is crossed out and replaced by "the US."
The following was how it was expressed by a PA journalist on PA TV this week:
"There are two lunatics leading the world: George Bush, and this man also, [Israeli Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon who is with him. All their notions are imbecilic. Bush fantasizes that he can change the world and organize it in an American fashion, that America can be like ancient Rome, the sole leader. He thinks that if he conquers Iraq it will give him the key to change the map of the Middle East, to control the oil.

A new Palestinian Authority music video being broadcast repeatedly during the last few days on official Palestinian television glorifies the "heroic" fighting of the Iraqis and celebrates the casualties inflicted on the US forces. Pictured twice are scenes of US soldiers carrying away a body of a killed comrade, and the last picture in the video is a coffin draped with American and British flags.
The following refrain is sung repeatedly:
"Be strong, Baghdad, be strong
Pressure the evil ones.
Don't fear bombings and siege
Pull the trigger.
The despicable ones must go."
The video shows numerous scenes of cheering Iraqis holding their automatic rifles aloft and includes Iraqis celebrating near a downed US helicopter.
The clip is named "Be Strong Baghdad" and the vocalist is the popular Palestinian singer Jamal al-Najar.
[Note: Whereas around the world music videos are used for entertainment, MTV type music videos are used by the Palestinian Authority as a primary tool in its hate indoctrination apparatus.]
PA Daily: Condolezza Rice is the "Black Spinster" (23.6.03)

A Palestinian Authority [PA] daily has published another racist article attacking Condolezza Rice, making her race an integral part of the article. The writer refers to her as the "black woman" [three times], the "black spinster" and continues that he even considered the term "black widow" but rejected it. Her father is the "black clergyman" [who filled her head with Bible stories] and Colin Powell is the "black man", the "black gentleman" and even the "brave and moderate black." Jesse Jackson is the "black minister."
Once slurring an American woman in the White House the writer uses the opportunity to categorize other American woman in the White House - the wives of presidents:
"The 'dominant' - the wife of President Ronald Reagan".
"The 'bright and the ambitious'- the wife of President Bill Clinton".
"The 'beloved' - the wife of President John Kennedy."
And while on the racial warpath Henry Kissinger is called - "Darling Henry the Jew".
The following are selections from yesterday's Al Ayyam.
"[National Security Adviser] Dr. Condolezza Rice is the most influential national security advisor in the US administration since "Darling Henry" Kissinger. The White House has seen some women with strong personalities, such as `the dominant', wife of President Ronald Reagan, `the bright' and the ambitious', wife of President Bill Clinton, and the 'beloved', wife of President John Kennedy. However - Condoleezza is the first lady [in rank], and the first black woman to serve in the most serious post in the White House. She is the "President's brain", especially with regard to the current incumbent, who is the most powerful world leader, but is one of the weakest presidents, [regarding] international political culture, to pass through the White House..."
"The adviser's `intelligence' and the `bravery' of General Colin Powell are what have elevated this black woman and black gentleman to the highest positions ever held by a black American woman or black American man in any administration."
"In contrast to Powell, who is the "moderate" in an extremist American administration, Rice is conspicuous by her thinking which follows the American "New Right, which is conservative and messianic. She is the daughter of a black clergyman, who filled her head during her childhood with stories about the Holy Land. These are vastly different from the liberal political theories espoused by the black minister Jesse Jackson, who is considered a "friend of the Palestinians" and a supporter of the downtrodden Third World nations. He was also the first black candidate for the American presidency."
"In an exclusive interview with "Yediot Acharonot" at the end of last May, she spoke about her powerful spiritual impressions from her first visit to Israel in August 2000:
"There, I felt as if I had come home, in my first visit to the place. There is a deep attachment between me and Israel... `Darling Henry' the Jew pretended to weep over the Israeli political leadership's 'stupidity' and 'shortsightedness'...
"Next week Ms. Rice will be visiting Israel for the second time .in order to salvage the 'brave' and 'moderate' black [Powell] from failure by salvaging the Roadmap..."
